I like it too! That's one (of many) thing I miss about Germany. Most of the sidewalks and roads are cobblestone, which feels full of history and personality to me. Even the newer brickwork just seems to have more character.
Have you been to Savannah? We visited in August for the first time and saw quite a bit of cobblestone.
Yep. Lots of wrought iron there, too. (Wow, August is a hot month to be in Savannah!!)
